Yesterday was okay. I went to Kombu in the morning and taught them the numbers. Then i went back to the middle school for lunch and afternoon classes. It was kind of bad at the beginning of the third years class after lunch. The teacher got very upset and chewed out the kids for a good ten or fifteen minutes because the window was open with the heat on, the front desk was wet and dirty and the board was dirty with chalk. I was in the room before class started, i tried to clean the board a little and i was dusting off the erasers out the window when she came in. I guess some of it was a little tiny bit my fault but not much. She talked to them about some really loosely connected things to the thing. She said that this was the dirtiest board she has ever had. Then like school is hard and that people who goofed off told her how hard high school is. Then some other random stuff. The kids seem to get all their morals from the school, which is how an pretty much atheist country can not be lacking in morals. I guess that is some evidence for the atheist argument that it's not a belief in god(s) that make us moral. I mean also, if the police disappeared, people have gone and rioted and stolen a lot of things even though they may have been religious. But still, sometimes it is just too much and a guilt trip in school sometimes. No wonder some kids really hate school. Today i had preparation all day at the middle school. Then after lunch i went to Onari, We had class and it was observed by a whole bunch of people as usual. Then there was a big meeting after wards to discuss it. The kids at Onari are very good and very skilled. I think it is a little better for them to be teaching English to all the grades and not just 5th and 6th grades. Though smaller numbers really helps for one on one teaching opportunities. The meeting was long and i didn't understand most of it. They read a lot from the pamphlet they made, and i wondered why. That seems to be the thing here. You write something up then read it for the meeting. Oh well, i am going to Costco tomorrow before winter finally sets in. There is a band thing tonight i hope, unless it has been cancelled because the high school is closed due to the flu, i think.
