Hakodate has been pretty fun. We drove here and got here about 10 yesterday. Then we went out for dinner at Daimon yokocho, a little arcade with many little restaurants to eat at. I had some tempura, and then we went to a Korean place and met some really nice people. We talked about ourselves and then we were invited to a pub to celebrate St. Patrick's Day. The guy that we met is in charge of the tower at Goryokaku, so he hooked us up. Then today we left and went to the Red Brick Warehouses for some shopping. Then we went to Goryokaku Tower with free tickets, Then we went to lunch at Lucky Pierrot. I had a whale burger and it wasn't very good. It tasted like fishy pork and the meat itself was very dark. Then we walked around Goryokaku fort. It was very muddy and not too pleasant. It reminded me of the old fort trips in Kentucky that we would take in school. In the woods and very dank and muddy. We got an invite and networked with some other people while at the pub and so we are coming back in May to go tot he Cherry Blossom viewing party here at the fort. From previous pictures, it should be blorking awesome. Then we went to the hot springs at Yu no Kawa at the Yu no Hama hotel. The baths weren't that good and they were a little hot, but the open air bath had an excellent view of the beach. It was very soothing. Then we went to e conveyor sushi place for dinner. All in all the trip has been pretty fun. Monday is a holiday so that will be the day to sleep in since the hotel beds are not that comfy because i just cannot sleep with these stupid down pillows; they give me no neck support.
