I got my car out of the snow and boy did i need help getting out. It was in a snow ditch that the weight of the tires had made and it was almost 4 inches of the tires in the snow so there was no way i was going to back up out of it with front wheel drive. It cost 125 bucks for the service, and i tried to get it half price by buying the Japanese AAA membership earlier in the day, but since they had already been called, i was unable to get it done for free. So that was 67 bucks more for that. At least now in the next two months if i have any problems it is free now.

The sun was out today and it has been nice. I am looking forward to training, and i have a list of stuff to do but i have to wait on things for it. I am trying to apply for FAFSA but need to get my 2010 tax returns done, and before i was waiting on my Japanese tax return to get started on my American ones. Then i am waiting on my transcripts so i can finish applying to schools in London. Then i have to do London trip planning, which i went to the bank to transfer money-at a pretty good rate of 40,000 yen and get $4,800- so i can pay for my plane ticket to London and then to the US afterwards. At least it will be like 500 dollars cheaper to fly into Cincinnati instead of home, but the savings are worth the trip, even if i would have to take a taxi home. I have started looking and sending resumes for summer jobs and all that stuff. My life in Japan is coming to a close soon, and i hope that the next chapter in a place with more English speakers will be just as good as it was here.

Adulthood is so different from childhood. Childhood is about "want want want" and getting it. Adulthood is about "need, need, need" and "how am i going to pay for that?". It sucks to be getting older and being an adult. But hey i love being able to go to casinos, not being age restricted to places, and driving and renting cars. I love being able to travel and know how to be safe when doing so and having the peace of mind to take care of myself. Despite how neotonous(unlike our other primate cousins- look up neotony to find out what i am talking about) we humans are, there is still a big different between the minds of children and adults even if in comparison to other species we physically are children and don't change that much.
