The school festival finally starts today. Right now i have gone around and looked at the things they have made. Some of them are kind of cool, but i find that i am more of a bother so i am just sitting in the teacher's room now to pass the time till lunch, and then it will start after lunch and end tomorrow. Sort of a slow week, and at least i get Monday off as well.

Not much has been going on otherwise. I finished the book i was reading about secret language such as codes, slang, and argots. It was very interesting and informative. Now i have to finish the Greatest Show on Earth by Richard Dawkins. This will be the third try to finish it. I read about 100 pages when i first got it, then i read another 150 or so after 2 months, but then i got the language book and decided to read that instead. Then i guess i have to finish that now. It is very interesting giving the case and evidences of evolution. But sometimes i think you would have to have an intense interest in order to fully enjoy reading the book.

Charice is pretty much the best new artist that i have found in a long while. Her debut album is one of two albums that i have found in my life that i could just sit and listen to the whole thing. The other is Savage Garden's Affirmation. Her voice is astounding and it is nice to knwo that there are still some non-Autotune users in the music industry. Lady Gaga is an actual singer and i think that people can see that. Though she really needs to hurry up with her second album already. Her songs are good, but it's been a year or so since it has come out and she needs something new. I mean everybody knows gays have short attention spans.

Lately there has been a lot of free time in my life i guess for me to just ponder things about my life and what exactly i would like to do with it. There are two primary paths for my career that i could follow, and i am pretty set on one of them. Linguistics and Culinary arts are my major passions that i could see turning into a career, though my love for food and cooking is probably something that i do not want to turn into a real chore despite all my previous employment being in the food service industry. The only thing with linguistics is that it is such a huge field and i don't know exactly which field i should try to go into since i pretty much love them all. Phonology, morphology, syntax, translation; they are all so fun an interesting to me. I have a keen interest in writing systems and love to just look at all the mechanics involved in all the world's different writing systems. I am a frequent visitor of www.omniglot.com and look at it probably 2 to 3 times a week to just look at everything there. It is a total writing system lover's paradise.

I am still working on the kinks of my own writing system that i have created and have been working on in steps sporadically since high school. The cursive form takes some effort in order for the letters to be connected but still be able to be discerned when reading them. Then i need to look at the word document that i have with the vocabulary and grammar that i had started on this past winter. It was coming along well and most of the stuff i had i still like, though some vocabulary has changed. The language name has changed a little bit as well, previous to what it previously was. Axkong from the way i set up the characters in "alphabetical" order.

Not much else is going on, and i seem to have spent enough time on this post to where is it close to lunch time.
