The bear that my skilled friend won on her first try at the UFO catcher.
They love Obama here.
Another rainy day here. At least all the rain is helping with melting the snow. The front field in front of the school is almost clear. The baseball field has a few spots, but it will be a little longer for the track and the soccer field to be clear. I did see a little bit of the tennis court in the back finally.
I have been watching Doctor Who some more and i am still in love with it. Rose Tyler is a very good companion, though i am really liking Amy Pond with the Eleventh Doctor. The new episode this weekend should be good. River Song appears again, played by ER fame's Alex Kingston, and so do the Weeping Angels. Now talk about somewhat scary creatures those Weeping Angels. They turn to stone if anyone observes them, but can move at incredible speeds if no one is looking. They kill you in a kind way by putting you into the past to live out your days there, and they feed on your potential energy from the days you might have had.
I had to go to the post office today in order to send my paperwork off to get the official translation of my driver's license in order to start the process for me to get my Japanese license. Argh, i really don't like the post office because it takes so long, and i usually end up making all these mistakes because it is so complicated. Good thing i have my own stamp, that helps a lot to cover up the mistakes i make though.
The rules of the road handbook is a lot more in depth than the American counterpart. well, at least with the rules that would be like just niceties that people should do, they outright tell you. Like slow down for elderly people, slow down when passing people on the side of the road in the rain so as to not splash them, and stuff like that.
Can't wait to see all the ALT's this weekend for drinks. I hope i am not too late getting there. I guess i will have to try to get out of school as fast as i can, and drive straight there. Should be another fun weekend in Sapporo though.
