The first day of training went well i think. We got there a little late and we got introduced to the people in charge of us. Then we went through some basic guidelines for elementary school lesson plans and spent most of the time doing that. It was pretty interesting i think. It makes one think about how one learns new things in elementary school, and having second language learning knowledge makes you think deeper about what would be the best way or best association for these kids for one to use in teaching them. I kind of wished i had some more knowledge of Japanese culture like what Japanese people think about when they think of certain months, activities, or foods etc. For lunch most of us went to the supermarket and i had a pretty good lunch with pineapple and yogurt and some croquettes. There was a bakery next door to the market so i went in and got some rice bread. surprisingly it tastes very good and very dense. It almost has an eggy flavor to it.
